Cancellation policies
Owners may tailor their required payment terms via the deposit percentage (min 15%) and the balance due date (max 180 days before arrival) in the Owner’s Portal.
Before confirming a booking, the guest must agree to the Outdore terms and conditions, your booking payment terms and your custom site rules.
Guests may view booking details, including any balance due date and amount, in the Trips section of the Outdore app.
If a Guest cancels
The deposit is non-refundable. If the balance has been collected it will not be refunded. When the booking is cancelled before the balance due date the balance will not be collected.
If you wish to refund the deposit to your guest due to special circumstances, you can do so through your Stripe account. See details here.
Outdore will automatically drop the reservation in the calendar and attempt to re-let the nights.
The cancellation will appear as ‘Cancelled by Guest (CBG)‘ in the transactions tab of your Reservations calendar.
If an Owner cancels
No refund of Outdore commission or fees will be made to the owner.
Where the owner’s Stripe account balance is insufficient to cover the refund, Stripe will auto debit the owner’s bank account.
After confirming a cancellation, Outdore will drop the booking from the calendar and block the dates, preventing further guests booking those nights.
The cancellation will appear as ‘Cancelled by Owner (CBO)’ in the transactions tab of the reservation calendar.
Use the ‘Cancel Booking’ button in the Reservations section of the Outdore portal to cancel a booking and trigger a customer refund.
