Rate groups
Rate groups are your pitch or glamping unit types. Pitches / units in a rate group all share the same settings and nightly rates. Inputting rates for your rate groups is a later stage of onboarding.
Adding rate groups
- Click the ‘Add camping rate group’ button or ‘Add glamping rate group’ button to create a new rate group.
- Each rate group must have a unique name. e.g fully serviced pitch or premium pod.
- Now set the maximum number of guests, maximum dogs allowed and the units allowed (camping only) or unit type (glamping only).
- Glamping has the additional settings to set the maximum number of adults (16+) and children. The maximum guests will always set a cap e.g 4 Max guests, 4 max adults and 2 max children will not allow 4 adults and 2 children to stay.
- Set the arrival and departure days if applicable.
- Set the pitch care/damage deposit which is refunded 7 days after the guest departs. The refund can be stopped or sent earlier from the guest’s reservation in your Outdore calendar. Partial refunds can be made by following the instructions when stopping the refund.
Once you have set up all of the rate groups you need, move onto the Map tab where you will plot your pitches or glamping units and assign them with rate groups.
Example 1
You have 5 pitches or 5 glamping units. They are priced the same and all have the same rules about the number of guests , dogs or minimum night stay. You just need 1 rate group (camping or glamping) and you can assign the same rate group to all your mapped pitches or glamping units in the Map.
Example 2
You have 5 pitches or 5 glamping units. They are priced differently and all have different rules about the number of guests , dogs or minimum night stay. You need 5 rate groups (camping or glamping) and you can assign a different rate group to each of your mapped pitches or glamping units in the Map.
Deleting rate groups
If you want to delete a rate group, you will need to:
- Reallocate all bookings from the rate group to another within the Outdore calendar.
- Assign all mapped pitches / glamping units from the deleted rate group to a different rate group.
